I'll think back on these days we’ve had
in this year we’ve spent at home

well everything just felt the same
sometimes it made us feel insane
sunshine and rain everyday

but even with all this time
the days are long and the years are short
never quite enough
always just keeping up
we’ll catch our breath someday

well the baby is just eight months
and our first is five years old
and the joy and love and light they’ve brought
it’s more than our hearts can hold

they’re just as sweet as can be
they have no idea of the world they’ll see
and we’ll keep it like that for as long as we can

we’ll take the love we’ve grown
the home we built
and the life we’ve made
and fill their hearts with love
and show them they’re enough
and know they’ll be ok

from laughing the way kids do
to the hard times of early last year
we fall apart and we come back a little more true
